The Thanksgiving holiday is upon us. In today’s fast-paced world we often forget its true meaning. As this wonderful holiday approaches, we often think about things like getting ready for Christmas shopping or vacation. Thanksgiving is for togetherness with family, enjoying each other, and sharing food and memories around the table. We spend too much time wishing for things we don’t have instead of being thankful for all we do have in our lives.

For me, I am thankful for our wonderful OLQMCA family including our dedicated and caring faculty, our outstanding principal and staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the OLQMCA engine work perfectly.

I am thankful for all our students who energize the halls of our Academy-for without them there would be no happiness.

I am thankful for all parents who have put their faith in us to provide your children with a quality education. I am also thankful for parent involvement, that is essential to keep our academy going.

I am thankful that our Academy has provided all families with an academically challenging environment as it has proven to make each student reach new heights in learning.

I am thankful for our Academy providing a safe environment for all students who feel comfortable walking the halls and being free from danger.

So, when we sit around the table this Thanksgiving and enjoy all that this holiday brings, let’s take a moment to turn to each person and say thank you for being in my life. Each and every day we are blessed to have a measure of stability in our lives and our hearts go out to many who struggle to find it.
